We’ve known about Secury360 for a while. We’ve been working for a client for years who uses multiple camera towers for rapid intruder detection. To enhance security, I reached out to Frederick to integrate Secury360’s AI into our existing camera towers.
At the time, Secury360 hadn’t yet developed technology to detect movement from the footage of our dome cameras. For that reason, we didn’t proceed with them back then, but I kept following their progress. Two years later, this capability became available. This rapid adaptation to technological advancements and market demands is the first reason we chose Secury360.
After a demo, we quickly scheduled a follow-up with Frederick, and he responded immediately. This proactivity is the second reason we decided to partner with Secury360.
Compared to other AI solutions, it’s much easier to define detection zones in Secury360’s software. Additionally, the interface with the monitoring center improves efficiency.
We’re connected to the Praxis monitoring center, and they’ve been very positive about Secury360, even requesting to work with them as a preferred partner.
Some AI systems on the market are more advanced in certain areas, but often with features that offer little practical value—like detecting your neighbor’s cat while ignoring your own.
What is truly useful, however, is targeted vehicle detection, such as detecting only foreign license plates. This is a feature I’d love to see integrated into Secury360, and from what I’ve heard, it’s already in development. For our clients, primarily construction sites, this would be a significant added value.
With a long history in manned guarding, I’ve always believed that the combination of human presence and technology is often the ideal solution. After more than 10 years, this still holds true. Labor is becoming more expensive and harder to find, while crime is moving in the opposite direction.
Access control is becoming an essential component of an integrated security plan. I also foresee mandatory security and access control measures for all new construction projects in the near future.
And who knows—maybe in a few years, you’ll be able to secure your site with camera detection from space. But of course, the skies would need to be clear—we do live in Belgium, after all.
